Only a commissioner can invite a GM to join a league. To invite someone to join your league, click the commissioner button on the top toolbar and then click the 'Team Management' link on the commissioner's toolbar. From this screen you have complete control over each team in your league including the ability to change their password, change their team name, change their number of used adds/drops and trades. From here you are also able to start players and add and remove players from rosters.
To invite a GM to join your league click the 'Invite a GM to Join Your League' link. This will open a popup requesting the new GM's email address. Once you've entered the email address you can click the Ok button. An email will be sent to the email address you entered with a link the new GM can click on to join your league. (Remember to get your GM's to check their Junk email folders for the invites if they don't appear to arrive.)
There is no limit to the number of invites that you can send out; however, since league can contain only eight players only the first seven GM's that respond can join your league.
Waiver Wires are a new feature added to Fantas-Eh football that can add some strategy and excitement to your season. We use a particular type of Waiver Wire processing called free-agent acquisition budget (FAAB). Here's how it works:
With the addition of Ottawa this year we had to do something with the bye weeks that your Team QB's will be on. The following only affects leagues that are using Team QB's. What will happen is that there will be a floater Team QB. This floater is the Team QB that hasn't been picked up by anyone. So in an 8 team league there will always be one floater Team QB. If your QB is on a bye week, then after the waivers are processed (even if your league is not using waiver wires, you still need to wait until after Wednesday), when you go to your starting lineup you will automatically see the floater QB listed in your roster. You cannot trade or drop this floater, the only thing you can do is start them. Once the freeze is over the floater will be returned to the free-agents pool automatically so don't forget to start your normal QB again!
This also applies to Special Teams, however since Special Teams are not explicitly started the system will pick up the Special Teams with the most points to start automatically. This also happens from your starting lineup screen, so if your Special Teams are on a bye week then you need to ensure that you go to your starting lineup after waivers are processed and hit the save button to trigger the addition of the floater Special Teams. After the freeze do the same thing to start your normal Special Teams.
